Investigation of influence of lettuce variety on the yield and biochemical quality confirm possibility of successful production on the field. The biggest yield gave varieties of Lactuca sativa var.romana and var.capitata iceberg type. Varieties Lactuca sativa var.acephala and var.capitata had high vitamin C content. Varieties var.capitata iceberg type had higher NO content and butterhead type NO content in relation to other varieties. However, with good yield, the tested varieties had lower content of NO in relation to indoors productions.
