On average, during the four year research, the sprinkling irrigation has caused the growth of fresh mass of bulbs, tubercles or tubers by 37.9 per cent. During the dry and hot years (1982 and 1983), this growth was particularly high and amounted to 83.0 per cent and 112.0 per cent, respectively. The better cropping variety turned out the variety Ronda which was characterized by the greater number of tubercles under the bush and the greater mean mass of bulb. This variety also gave greater increase of yields under the influence of sprinkling irrigation and, moreover, it had greater content amylum. The manure and the liquid manure applied for the potatoes had both the same value.
