Efecto del acondicionamiento del suelo con bioabono sobre el crecimiento y produccion de plantas de kiwi.

The bioabono (dry sludge) is characterized for being a rich organic material so it helps to improve the physical and chemical properties of the soil. The objective of this work was to prove the effect of the soil conditioning with bioabono, over the physical and chemical properties of it and to estimate the answers in the growth and production of Kiwi plants (Actinidia deliciosa). This work was done in an orchard located in Linderos, the planting was started in November 1987, at that date the bioabono was incorporated to the planting hole. At the beginning of the second year an annual application of bioabono was done in the following proportions: 0: 7.5; 15.0 y 22.5 kg/plant. Some physical soil properties were measured: infiltration speed and resistance of the soil to the penetration. Furthermore contents of humidity were measured. Besides, some analysis of soil fertility was done. Furthermore some growing and production parameters of the kiwi plants were measured. It was discovered that the bioabono improves the physical properties of the soil by presenting meaningful differences between the untreated plants and the better results in the treatments with bioabono. Among the chemical properties stand out the decreasing of electrical soil conductivity when the bioabono doses increased. This could be associated to a major water infiltration into the conditioned soil. The content of organic material increases when the bioabono doses goes. The general growth of plant was flattered with the soil conditioning by observing an answer in the trunk diameter, number of leaves and buds. The greatest growth of the fruit was shown by the untreated plants, probably, due to the lower number of fruits of these plants related to the bioabono treatments.
