The influence of feed on the post-embryonal development and growth of larvae as well as the chemical composition of the fish body was investigated. The most larvae did not react to the kind of feeds since 8-9 days of life. Significant differences in the weight of larvae were found since the 11th day of life, whereas significantly lower use of oxygen by starved fry was observed since 5 day of life. Along with the growth increased the body hydration and the ash content in body decreased.
