DEUTSCH: Das World Wide Web (WWW) bietet die Moeglichkeit, auf einfache Art und Weise multimediale Informationen zu praesentieren und zu empfangen. Gleichzeitig konfrontiert das starke Wachstum des WWW die Benutzer mit dem Problem, spezielle Informationen zu finden. Um die Benutzer bei der Suche zu unterstuetzen, wurden verschiedene Werkzeuge, wie z.B. Kataloge oder Suchmaschinen entwickelt. Einige dieser Werkzeuge werden hier vorgestellt und anhand der Kriterien Aktualitaet und Vollstaendigkeit bewertet.

English. The development of the WWW has led to the opportunity to present and receive multimedia information via the internet very easily. At the same time the rapid growth of the WWW has faced the user with the problem of finding particular data within the enormous amount of existing information. To help the user with this problem a number of catalogs, search engines and other tools have been developed world-wide. We will present some of them and try to rate them with respect to their significance.
