The results of morphophysiological studies of potential and real productivity of 4 alfalfa varieties are presented. The number of shoots increase with the age of plant. The realization of flowers into fruits as well as the productivity of fruits and seeds of a plant don't depend on the age. These indexes are mainly determined by the meteorological conditions of vegetative period.
