The analysis comes out of the critical evaluation of concept apparatus and basic principles used in geobotany and geobiocoenology. Special attention is given to the conception of super structural ecological units (edaphic-tropic and edaphic-hydric orders, interorders and suborders and vegetation grades) elaborated by Zlatnik.
