Observations sur l' heterothallisme de Phaeosphaeria (Leptosphaeria) nodorum, agent de la septoriose du ble.
1992
Halama P.
The heterothallism in Phaeosphaeria nodorum is confirmed by the realization of crosses between strains from 3 complete series of 8 ascospores derived from 3 ascus. Two of these ascus were obtained from perithecia which were collected in fields, the third originated in perithecia produced in vitro. For the first two series, 9 of the first and 7 of the second crosses were fertile, whereas 11 fertile crosses were observed for the third series. These results are poorer than this obtained in classical bipolar heterothallism. A structural study of sterile perithecia observed in the cultures from single ascospores indicates an absence of sporophytic formation. These results confirm the bipolar heterothallism in P. nodorum, but suggest also the existence of another incompatibility mechanism.
