Comparaison du semis direct et du plant motte pour la mise en place de la sauge officinale (Salvia officinalis L.).
1995
Rey Ch.
Cultivation trials in mountain areas (Arbaz, 920 m; Bruson, 1100 m) have shown that direct drilling of Common Sage is feasible if done between 24 July and 8 August on well prepared and clean soil, followed by regular irrigation. In the first year dry matter content increased from 50 to 100 %, depending on the site, compared to the most widespread method of ball planting on a My-Pex-type plastic mulch. However, in the second year of cropping the first method loses its advantage (lower costs of plants, plastic and planting) due to higher weeding costs.
