Respuesta de ocho variedades comerciales de arroz a la fertilizacion nitrogenada, periodo de lluvias de 1994.
1995
Alvarez L L.E.
On a soil that had not been cultivated before an experiment was carried out to determine the response under irrigation, of commercial rice varieties to nitrogen (N) fertilization. The soil seemed in dry condition and in the upper 20 cm the organic matter content was 1,29 %, pH 5,2, K: 45 ppm, P: traces, 42,3 % clay content, CEC 7,9 e/100 g and saturation was 37 %. Grain response increased until the maximum N level, 6.378 kg/ha with 240 kg N/ha, also grew the panicle number/m2, grain number/panicle and aerial biomass at harvest. This response could be attributed to the low natural soil fertility, the particular climatic conditions and to sampling errors. FONAIAP 1 yielded 4.804 kg/ha, Cimarron 4.679 kg/ha, Oryzica 3 4.590 kg/ha, la Toma 4.423 kg/ha and Araure 4 4.394 kg/ha. Oryzica Llanos 5 4.082 kg/ha, FONAIAP 2 4.061 kg/ha and Oryzica 1 3.572 kg/ha. The income due to N fertilization was 903 %. The highest values were obtained with 60 kg N/ha. FONAIAP 1, Oryzica Llanos 5, La Toma, FONAIAP 2 and Araure 4 fertilized with 60 kg N/ha showed incomes of 1.545 %, 1.523 %, 1.470 %, 1.453 %, and 1.423 %.
