In this issue of the review, reports from the scientific and expert council of agronomists, "Field-farming production as an economy stabilization factor", are printed. Problems of production of main field-farming crops here are analysed in the council:sugar beet, maize, wheat, soybean and alfalfa. For sugar beet, the results of the investigation of the influence of the optimum harvest time on the increase of production and common income in the reproduction entirety, of rhizomania from the standpoint of assortment, of protection problems, of the influence of the variety and harvest time on the yield and quality in brown fertile soil are presented. For maize, production results related with the application of silage in feeding pigs and problems of maize production in pseudogley soils and experiments related to the investigation of agronomic qualitities of hybrids, the possibilities of using male sterility in creation of Bc hybrids, response of various hybrids to the crop density and fertilization with nitrogen are presented. For wheat, production results and the analysis of macro- and micro-experiments with various vegetation groups are presented. The results of investigating the possibilities of improving the production of alfalfa seed, mechanization of soybean harvesting, specific conditions of field-farming production in heavy soils and the effect of calcination on some field-farming crops in pseudogley soils are presented.
