In the regulation of final cutting there are predominant methods derived from the theory of normal forestry. This theory assumes that the development of stands is deterministic, which means the same share of stands at all age classes. The optimum felling age is then the function of the current annual increment and average annual increment of stands at the felling age. However the influence of climatic factors and industrial air pollution cause disturbances in the structure of the normal forest; it is immpossible to maintain a constant index of stand density and the same share of all age classes. In the model of "intentional forest" the age structure of stands is based on Markow chains: the share of younger trees was lower and of older trees - lower than in the normal forest. It is assumed that the felling of the stands depends only on their present condition and not on their development.
