The authors' dosimetric examinations carried out using neutron radiation have proved that in case of seed radiation a 120 Gy dose was lethal to the soybean variety S-1346 and 130 Gy to Merit. Values lower than 50 per cent of the control plant height did not occur in the treatments. Up to a definite dose a stimulation was observed in the distance of the lowest pod as measured from the ground and in stem thickness. Pod number, grain number and grain weight per plant were notably reduced by fast neutron radiation. The depression in soybeans was of an essentially lower rate in respect of seed number and grain weight by pod. On fast neutron treatment seed length and width as well as thousand-seed-mass increased.
