The differential equation of the motion of liquid with variable mass was transformed to dimensionless form. The solution of equation obtained is given. The method of approximate estimation of the depth as a function of flow intensity is presented. The results of numerical computation which allow to find the solution are presented. The examples of application of this method in the case of rectangular and courvolinear weir are given. The results of computation are presented in tables and figures.
