Vijaya Kumar T. | Subba Rao I.V.
There was negative relationship between available iron and soil pH both in surface (r= -0.8121) and sub-surface (r= -0.7211) soils. The relationship between available iron and organic carbon was not significant (r= 0.1782) and 0.1946 for surface and subsurface samples respectively. Increase in CaCO3 content decreased the availability of iron. However, the relationship between these two was not significant (r= -0.2426 and -0.1557 for surface and sub-surface soils respectively).
