Discusses the nutritive value of native grasses, giving comparative tables of nitrogen content, digestibility, protein, leaf mass, for different grass species in different climatic zones. Information on nutrient potentials, together with the drought resistance and soil protection characteristics of native species provides a better basis for assessing the livestock production value of such grasses.
