Conditions for successful tractor operation such as soil type and its moisture content have been analyzed. The efficiency of tractor work depending on weather and soil conditions in Latvia has been determined using the decision theory. For the compensation of reduced tractor efficiency two ways are suggested. The results of calculations and experiments are shown in tables.
