This research paper is based on data obtained from 1231 poults, descendants of 45 cock and 255 hen families. This paper subject consists of the following characters: the age at first egg, body weight, egg number at 28, respectively 34 weeks. The phenotypic, genotypic and environmental correlation were calculated by a three sources variance analysis. We concluded: a. There is a strong positive correlation between egg weight at 28, respectively at the age of 34 weeks (rF=0,437); b. The egg weight is positively correlated with body weight (rF=0,675) and with the age at the first egg (rG=0,806); c. There is a strong negative correlation between egg number and the age at the first egg (rG=0,046) because the hens are early producers. In this case, we recommend to use hen combined selection for one character, for instance for egg number automatically including the second character and the age at the first egg.
