Polimorfismo genetico dei due enzimi eritrocitari PHI (fosfoesoso isomerasi) e PGD (fosfogluconato deidrogenasi) in alcune razze suine italiane.

English. A total of 445 pigs were used for the trial: 208 Italian Large White, 122 Italian Landrace and 115 Italian Duroc. Type classification of the two enzymes phosphohexose isomerase (PHI) and phosphogluconate dehydrogenase (PGD) was performed by means of electrophoresis on agar gel. Both enzymes showed polymorphism in the three Italian breeds studied, each having the two alleles A and B present. In all three populations the frequency of the PhiB variant was greater than that of the PhiA variant. As regards the Pgd locus in the Large White and Landrace breeds the A allele was found to be the most frequent, whereas the opposite was true for the Duroc breed. The degree of linkage disequilibrium between the two loci Phi and Pgd was not statistically significant in any of these three breeds.
Show more [+] Less [-]ITALIANO: La ricerca e' stata condotta utilizzando 445 suini dei quali 208 di razza Large White italiana, 122 di razza Landrace italiana e 115 di razza Duroc italiana. Mediante elettroforesi su gel di agarosio, si e' proceduto alla tipizzazione dei due enzimi eritrocitari fosfoesoso isomerasi (PHI) e fosfoglutonato deidrogenasi (PGD). Ambedue gli enzimi hanno mostrato polimorfismo nelle tre razza italiane, ciascuno con la presenza dei due alleli A e B. In tutte e tre le popolazioni la frequenza della variante PhiB e' risultata sempre superiore a quella della variante PhiA. Per quanto riguarda il locus Pgd nella Large White e nella Landrace si e' manifestata una prevalenza dall'allele A, mentre nella Duroc ha prevalso l'allele B. Il grado di linkage disequilibrium tra i due loci Phi e Pgd non e' risultato statisticamente significativo in nessuna delle tre razze.
