The National Breeding Program of INIFAP in the Central-western part of Mexico developed different types of hybrids based on 15 elite inbred lines. Hybrids were evaluated in 1990, 1991 and 1992 at 13, 23 and 8 environments, respectively. Only a few hybrids were common to all the environments. There were not clear evidences of superiority of single and three-way cross hybrid over double cross hybrids probably because selected and divergent materials were used to form the hybrids.
