Caracterizacion morfologica y cuantitativa de los hemocitos de larvas de Epilachna varivestis Mulsant.

English. Prohemocytes, plasmatocytes, granulocytes and adipohemocytes were identified and morphologically characterized in the hemolymph of 4th instar healthy larvae of Epilachna varivestis Mulsant. The total hemocyte number was a stable averag (51 783) hemocytes/mm3) through the 96 hours of observation. Regarding to the determination of types of hemocytes the plasmatocytes were the most abundant celular type, both percent and number/mm3, followed by the adipohemocytes; prohemocytes and granulocytes were the less abundant cellular types.

Se identificaron y caracterizaron prohemocitos, plasmatocitos, granulocitos y adipohemocitos en la hemolinfa de larvas sanas del 4o estadio temprano de Epilachna varivestis Mulsant. El numero total de hemocitos (CTH) se mantuvo constante alrededor del promedio (5l 783) hemocitos/mm3) durante las 96 horas de observacion. Con respecto al conteo diferencial de hemocitos (CDH) se observo que los plasmatocitos fueron el tipo celular mas abundante, tanto en porcentaje como en numero/mm3, seguidos por los adipohemocitos; los prohemocitos y granulocitos fueron los tipos celulares que se presentaron en menor cantidad.
