Etiologia y desarrollo epidemiologico de la bacteriosis del cilantro (Coriandrum sativum).

English. Pseudomonas syringae was determied as the causal agent of the bacteriosis of coriander (Coriandrum sativum L.). The results of the epidemiological development of the disease show that in the fall there was a major increase of diseased plants per day (R=3.13) and that the major increase of diseased plants per season was in winter (R=2.33). From a lot of 400 seeds it was found that the bacteria was present on 10.2 of the seeds and that 13.8 of the young plants produced from these seeds were diseased showing typical symptoms. This indicates that the bacteria could be transmitted by seed.

Como resultados del estudio de desarrollo epidemiologico de la enfermedad, se encontro que el mayor incremento de plantas enfermas/dia (R=3.13) se presento en otono y el mayor incremento de plantas enfermas/estacion (R=2.33) se observo en invierno. En un lote de 400 semillas se detecto al 10.2 de ellas infectadas por la bacteria y despues se sembradas, se obtuvo 13.8 de plantas enfermas con sintomas tipicos. Esto indica que la bacteria puede transmitirse por semilla.
