PORTUGUES: O uso da tecnica do fogo controlado em povoamentos de pinheiro bravo, no norte de Portugal, desde 1981, tem sido acompanhado do estudo dos efeitos do fogo sobre os ecossistemas com resultados que permitem concluir nao haver detrimento do meio quando usado em condicoes favoraveis. A investigacao foi alargada aos ecossistemas de Eucalyptus globulus e Quercus pyrenaica cujos estudos decorrem entretanto.
