The result of field experiments showed that mean yields of white gourd (Benincasa hispida), potato (Solanum tuberosum), cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. capitata) and cauliflower (Brassica oleracea var. botrytis) increased by 17.4, 12.4, 7.1 and 10.6 percent respectively because of gain in weight of single one. Physiological response showed that applying rare-earth elements or single La, Ce, Pr and Nd to white gourd, potato and cole crops would improve vegetative growth, increase dry weight of plant, root bleeding sap, chlorophyll content in leaf and enhance absorption and utilization of nutrient elements. Technology and condition of applying rare-earth elements were also suggested.
