Respuesta de la cebada (Hordeum vulgare L.) a variaciones de la humedad en el suelo, en diferentes etapas de crecimiento.

Se estudio una funcion de respuesta del cultivo de la cebada, en funcion de la variacion de los niveles de humedad aprovechable residual en el suelo, en tres etapas de desarrollo (vegetativa, reproductiva y maduracion); Se concluyo que la etapa critica para el rendimiento de grano, en cuanto al deficit de humedad fue la reproductiva y que el rendimiento maximo fue de 4.418 ton/ha, con una lamina optima de 68.31 cm, con tension del agua en el suelo de 2.16, 0.52 y 0.82 atmosferas en las 3 etapas el indice de area foliar disminuye cuando aumenta el deficit de humedad encontrandose una relacion lineal entre este y el rendimiento de materia seca y cuadratica con respecto al rendimiento de grano. Se encontraron funciones de respuesta que permiten evaluar rendimientos, en funcion de niveles de humedad.

English. An experiment was carried out in Montecillo, Mexico. Its main objective was to find a response function of the barley yield to variation of residual soil water content in three stages of crop development (vegetative, reproductive and maturity). Additionally. Some conclusions are: that the critical stage for the grain production in relation to the soil water deficit was the reproductive one and the maximun yield obtained was about 4.418 ton/ha with an optimum water consumption of 68.31 cm; this value was gotten when the water tension in the soil reached 2.16, 0.52 and 0.82 atmospheres in the three stages. A decrease in the leaf area was observed when the soil moisture deficit increases. A lineal relationship between mean leaf area index and grain yield was obtained. It was found some response functions for evaluating grain yield as function of different levels of residual soil water content.
