Rivero de Trinca C. | Paolini J.
Studies for evaluating organic residues (OR) incorporation on some soil chemical properties were performed in greenhouse. A dosis of OR equivalent to 60 Mgha-1, coming from the followings plants: Sorghum bicolor, Canavalia ensiformis and Phaseolus mungo. Its was applied alone or in a mixture 1:1 of Sorghum and each leguminous. Effects of the OR incorporation on soil was evaluated by: cation exchange capacity (CEC), organic carbon, total nitrogen and available P and K. Soil productivity was evaluated with crop, Zea mays L., PB-8 hybrid, through: dry matter yield, and N, P, and K content in the tissue during two consecutive cycles of 5 weeks each. Residue incorporation gave as result, an increase of the chemical parameters being of high statistical significance. Crop production was very dependent on soil-residue interaction; their effects were of a temporary character.
