Untersuchungen zur Anwendung des Praedators Chrysoperla carnea Steph. (Neuroptera, Chrysopidae) zur Blattlausbekaempfung im Garten.
1989
Rossmann F. | Fortmann M.
Experiments were carried out under field and semi-field conditions to test the use of Chrysoperla carnea (Stephens) (Neuroptera, Chrysopidae) in the first and third larval stages in controlling Aulacorthum solani (Kaltenbach) and Nasonovia ribis-nigri (Mosley) on garden lattuce (Gelber Krauser). In addition, regular checks were performed to determine the frequency of occurrence and the effectiveness of the aphidophages naturally present in the test garden. In comparison with the untreated control group, the first-stage larvae of the predator used led to a reduction in the number of aphids by 88 per cent (semi-field conditions) and 83 per cent (field conditions), while the application of third-stage larvae resulted in a 90 per cent reduction of the original aphids population.
