Higher yields of dry matter and protein were obtained in the case of oat harvested at the stage of milk ripeness. Among the plants cultivated in catch crop, turnip turned out to give the highest yields of fresh and dry matter. The green matter yield of sunflower was significantly lower while its dry matter yield remained at the same level as that of turnip. Among the compared plants, the highest protein yield was achieved in the case of sunflower, and the lowest in that bird rape.
