Soybean seed moisture content stored in the open storage is varied depend on the ambient relative humidity while soybean seed stored in the sealed containers without moisture absorbing materials had stable moisture content. Soybean seed stored with silica gel, dried rice, dried corn and quick lime were low in seed moisture content when high rate of these moisture absorbing materials were added. Quick lime was the most effective moisture absorbing material. After 12 months storage, soybean seed stored with different rate of silica gel, dried rice, dried corn and 25 % of quick lime could maintain germination over 70 % while seed stored in open container was zero % germination. However storing soybean seed less than 4 months was not necessary to use moisture absorbing materials.
