A study was made of the consumption of oak pods from the holm oak and corn oak by milk goats (ethnologically classified as Florida) in a midsize farm of Mediterranean range land in the Northern Sierra of Sevilla (Spain). This area is partly shrubland (Cistus, Pistacia). Direct observation was used. Acorns provide an important contribution in autumn-winter, making up 62% (approximately 1200 gr) of dry matter ingested in a day's pasture.
