Cytophysiological methods of study (electronic microscopy and immunohystochemical ones mainly) allowed to estimate in details the morphofunctional adaptation changes in digestive tract of the young chum when transferred into the sea water. It is illustrated the expediency of preliminary training of the hatchery young fish with a view to prepare it to downstream migration: introduction of salt premixes into its diet and physical training of fish in round tanks. Condition of digestive tract is very important during adaptation of the young fish to the salt water. It was found that among cytophysiological mechanisms promoting the formation of functional adaptations of digestive tract moreover were variations in the volume and abundance of goblet cells, which in turn influenced the extrusion of mucus and, connected with that, more intensive secretion of serotonin immunoreactive substances, which are as well of importance for salt adaptation.
