By an analysis of urea content, it is possible to control the energy and nitrogen in the diet. A comparative study of two groups of dairy cows with different yields of milk revealed a statistically-significant difference in the urea concentration in the milk depending on the productive abilities of the animals examined. The results indicate the possibility of utilizing the method of determining the urea concentration in milk for evaluating nitrogen metabolism in ruminants.
