An alternative method of soil analysis by using extraction with 0.01 M CaCl2 for soil fertility was conducted at Rispa's Laboratory. This method was compared to the conventional method. The results of the alternative method (pH, N, P, K, Mg) was correlated to the results of the conventional method (pH-H2,N-Kjeldahl, P-Bray 2, K and Mg-exchangeable after extraction of the soil within ammonium acetate solution at pH 7.0). The analysis was carried out on four different soil types namely; Paleudult, Hapludult, Tropofluvent and Haplaquult. The parameters of both analysis methods have a positive highly significant correlation in cases of pH, N, P, K, Mg on Paleudult, Hapludult, Tropofluvent and Haplaquult soil. The alternative method of soil analysis could be used for soil fertility evaluation.
