A research on feeding of giant goramy fry was conducted in circular plastic tanks with a recirculating water system to determine the effect of different initial feeding times on the growth and survival of the fry. The treatments consisted of five different initial feeding times namely when larvae were 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 days old. Daphnia was used as food with protein content of about 40 percent, and the nursing lasted for one month. The results of experiment show that the different initial feeding times tested have no effect on the growth and survival of the fry (P>0.05). Nevertheless, the data indicate that feeding started on the tenth day give the best growth compared with the others. Survival of fry during the experiment is relatively high, ranging between 83,67 percent and 95.33 percent.
