Precisely ascertaining actual tractor speeds is becoming increasingly important because of the demand for exactly dosing plant protectives and fertilizer. By using non-contact functioning radar sensors this requirement can be fulfilled. Additionally, the wheel slippage of the driving wheels, which damages the soil, can be measured and can be used as a guideline for hydraulic adjustment.
