This experiment was carried out to study efficacy of the exogenous Aspirin for prolongation of parturition in white rats. Sixty of the pregnant white rats used were injected with Aspirin. The survival rate of newborn, the administration time and the amount of dosage affecting the prolongation of parturition were investigated. The average survival rate of newborns in groups injected with Aspirin on day 15, 17 and 19 of gestation were 77.1%, 76.0% and 79.7% respectively. There were no differences on the amount of dosage of Aspirin. Mean gestation length of rats injected Aspirin on day 15, 17 and 19 of gestation were 23.08+-0.22, 22.65+-0.12 and 23.18+-0.30 days, respectively. There were no significant differences (p<0.05) among experimental groups. For the amount of dosage of 50mg/kg x 1 time, 100mg/kg x 1 time and 150mg/kg x 1 time per kg per day the average intervals from injection to parturition were 22.67+-0.17, 22.97+-0.25 and 23.28+-0.22 days, respectively. There were no significant differences (p<0.05) among experimental groups.
