The culture of this plant had a big extension in Romanian agricultural structure especially for the growing of domestic animals. As a comparison with maize in grains, this culture needs distinguished physiological claims: - a shorter period of vegetation; - another season of harvesting; - a different phenological stadium at harvesting. Five categories of forage maize have been identified after stadium of seeding. Indicators used for land evaluation were the same as in the case of other agricultural plants with the exception of forage maize, climatical indicators - as sum of precipitations, sum of temperatures (the first of April-the first of October, the first of May, the tenth of May-the first of October, the first of July- the first of October and the tenth of July-the first of October). At the same time with the climatical indicators coefficients of land evaluation have been elaborated for the determination of the influence of excessive temperatures of hot days (T>32 degrees C). Also, the increase of favourability for the same land by using the irrigation of the principal indicator remains the resource of moisture content in the effective period of vegetation.
