Cultures of Colletotrichum graminicola (Ces.) Wils. f. sp. zeae, the causing organism of corn anthracnose stalk rot, were inoculated on the first elongate internodes at different growth stages of corn plant by toothpick method. The result revealed non statistically significant among the number of discoloration internodes inoculated at 1 WBF, 2 WEB, F, 1 WAP and 2 WAF yet the differences were found between them and inoculation at 3 WAP. Stalk rot developments were different among varieties which infection occurred at different plant ages. Anthracnose stalk rot caused by C. graminicola f. sp. zeae reduced an averaged grain yield by 14 percent. Yield reduction was depended on cultivars and growth stages at time infection occurred. Yield of susceptible variety was reduced by 24 percent. An infection occurred at 2 WBF was affected on yield 22 percent, as compared with infection at 3 WAF reduced yield by 7 percent. Negative relationships was found between the number of discoloration internode and grain yield (r= -0.578).
