The results are given of model feeding tests with 12 cows (divided into 3 groups) of the Slovak Spotted breed pastured on semi-natural grasslands and fed the maize supplement (1.group), Lolium haylage supplement (2.group) and 3.group fed no supplements. Each group was fed additional concentrate in amount of 450 g per each kilogram of milk above the milk yield 12 kg/day. Samples of milk from tested cows were taken in regular intervals and analysed for the basic physico-chemical values, processing characteristics and some special additional parameters. Results were evaluated by current mathematical and statistical methods. It was concluded that the milk from cows in each of the tested groups met at least the minimum quality standards and was suitable for further processing. No significant influence of the tested diets was found.
