Results of investigations in the radiology laboratory of BRIVC in 1992-93, which were held in sovkhoz "Dobryn'" Gomel region and on contaminated lands of Gomel and Mogilev regions are given in the article. The investigations show the correlation between the entrance of radioactive caesium and strontium-90 into vegetable crops (cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, beet and others) and granulometric composition and agrochemical features of sward-podzolic soils - content of humus, potassium and reaction of soil substrate. Coefficients for the predicting of the level of contamination of vegetables by radioactive caesium and strontium-90 depending on the composition of sward-podzolic soils are given.
