Serum proteins in cattle affected with squamous cell carcinoma of horn. Short communication.

The present studies were conducted on 15 histopathologically confirmed cases of squamous cell carcinoma of horn. The electrophoretic evaluation of sera revealed significant decrease in the relative percentage of albumin (hypoalbuminemia) and increase in globulins (hyperglobulinemia). A drop in the concentration of albumin with increase in alpha and betaglobulin were described as the common findings in patients with neoplastic diseases.
