Efecto de la fuente de fertilizacion en la dosis de Oxifluorfen y DCPA aplicados en cebolla de transplante (Allium cepa L.).

With the aim determining the effects of the source of fertilization on the rates of two herbicides applied to transplanting onion, a test was performed during 1992-1993.Fifteen treatments were performed which consisted basically of interaction of three sources of fertilization (urea, urea+poultry manure and poultry) and five systems for weed control (two rates for each herbicide and hand weeding). The rate of the treatments of poultry manure alone was 30 ton/ha. The treatments of urea alone received 120 kg N/ha, and those which used a mix of urea+poultry manure received 15 ton/ha and 60 kg N/ha, respectively. DCPA was applied immediately after transplanting, at rates of 7 and 9 kg PC/ha, Oxifluorfen was applied 15 days after transplanting (DAT) a rates of 1 and 1,5 L PC/ha. Hand weeding was performed 25 and 60 DAT. Height, number of leaves, visual phytotoxicity, bulb yield and average diameter were measured 15; 30 and 45 DAT weed density was evaluated and species were identified 15; 30 and 45 days after herbicide application and hand weeding. The results obtained suggest that there is a positive response to the addition of organic manure in all the evaluated variables. Moreover, no significant differences were found among the different rates evaluated, regardless of the source of fertilization. Traces of phytotoxicity were observed in the crop, when using both rates of Oxifluorfen; the symptoms were more noticeable in those treatments which included, partly or completely, the use of organic manure as a fertilizer. However, the symptoms were temporary and longer present in the subsequent evaluations and thus did not affect the final yields.
