In the field experiment the effect of two dates winter ploughing with and without harrowing of the plant density in accordance with the spacing of plants in row and singling on the number of plants, yield of roots and leaves, biological yield of sugar, sugar and soluble ash content, number of small and bifurcated roots in the genetically monogerm PN Mono 1 variety was investigated. The effect of the factors applied in the experiment on the traits investigated were as different in particular years.
