Calculations have been made to determine energy consumption (eu) for carrying out 1 kg of water in grain drying through active grain ventilation by unheated or slightly heated air. It has been stated that there is no correlation between the water amount (delta x) carried out by air and the humidity of air flowing out of the grain layer. Experiments have been made to determine the adequacy of the calculated values of the carried out water from the grain layer for estimation. In the laboratory investigations have been commenced to estimate the efficiency of calculations and to test the automatic grain ventilation control equipment. Methods have been elaborated for the evaluation of efficient use of heat accumulated in grain during the drying process.
