The economical and political context of organic agriculture questions the agriculture sector in Corsica in terms of its orientations and its strategic decisions. All productions on the island have developed an organic file with the exception of animal productions. Animal productions are confined to less organised structures which limits collective actions. The study analyses the results of a survey of producers of small dairy ruminants who desired to take an organic orientation. It reveals an important lack of information that leads to a large difference between policies and reality. However, actual production techniques play an essential role in maintaining sustainable agricultural practices in sensitive areas.
