Dmta-p (abbreviated form for dimethenamid-P) is a new herbicide active ingredient belonging to the chloroacetamid family. Isard is one of the new corn herbicide products developed by BASF. It is containing 720 g a.i./l of dmta-p. Isard, even at a rate inferior to 1000 g a.i./ha is very efficient on annual grasses and on major broadleaved weeds in corn. Its toxicologic and environmental characteristics are favorable.
