English. If forage is harvested with the right moisture content, it has a positive effect on nutritional contents and storage and also reduces the input of energy and preservation additives. Therefore, it seems meaningful to ascertain the moisture content already in the harvesting machine. This contribution informs about the problems arising and about the basic possibilities of ascertaining moisture contents.
