The milk productivity of Polish Merino ewes by the oxytocin technique and live weight of suckling lambs was measured. The milk yield during the first month of lactation in ewes with the one lamb was 30.84 kg and in ewes with twins - 39.58 kg. The significantly higher weight gain but not growth rate in single than in twin lambs was observed.
