Hay yields of over 10 tons of dry matter from hectare were obtained. However, if the P content in hay increased in the first cut only, so the K content exceeded the values assumed as standard in the fodder. Simultaneously with increasing hay yields a significant exhaustion of soil Ca and Mg took place. In order to reduce the excessive K content in hay application of K rate in 2-3 parts is recommended.
