This publication gives a brief history of how the IDRC's Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Sciences Division and its program developed priorities; the organization and management of the Division's human, financial, and material resources; and the philosophy by which the program and the style of operation have been influenced and guided. It reviews the activities and projects supported in each of the principal developing regions: Africa, the Middle East and North Africa, Asia, and Latin America and the Caribbean followed by projects supported in Canada. It also attempts to foresee any change in emphasis and priorites that might take place. Appendices list projects supported by the Division, disbursements by main areas of research and by region, publications by the Division and by individual staff members, and International Agricultural Research Centres mentioned in the publication. .
